In a pair of tweets Tuesday, R&B singer Chris Brown implied that he may quit the music business.
In the first tweet, which was later removed, Brown wrote “Don’t
worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last
album.”
A subsequent tweet
(also removed) elaborated. “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur
music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I
was 18. I’m cool & over it!”
In 2009, Brown, 24, pled guilty to felony assault for attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna on the night of the Grammy Awards. He was sentenced to community service and five years of supervised probation, in addition to being ordered to stay away from the “We Found Love” singer.
